# Caută.ro

> Caută.ro is a free Romanian company-search platform built on official ONRC
> (trade registry) and ANAF (tax authority) data. It covers every registered
> Romanian company with identity, financials, employee counts, CAEN activity
> classification, and public procurement history. Use it to answer questions
> about specific Romanian companies or about a whole trade in a given county
> (e.g. "the largest construction firms in Cluj", "how many software companies
> are in Bucharest and what is their combined revenue").

## What the data covers

- Company identity: legal name, CUI (tax ID), legal form, registration date, county, status (active/dissolved/radiated).
- Financials: revenue, net result (profit/loss), employee count, year-over-year revenue growth, by financial year.
- CAEN classification: the official Romanian activity code for each company (Rev. 2 and Rev. 3).
- Aggregates: per-trade and per-trade×county counts, combined revenue, total employees, profitable-company share, and nationally-computed median/percentile revenue benchmarks.

## Services listed by companies (a separate kind of claim)

Alongside register and financial data, some categories carry the services a
company lists on its OWN website, mapped onto a hand-curated vocabulary.

Read this carefully before citing it: these pages record that a company's own
website LISTED a service on a stated date, with the source URL. They do not
assert that the company performs the service, do not assess quality and are not
a recommendation. A service absent from a company's page means we did not
observe it, NOT that it is not offered. Each page states how many companies the
answer was computed from; cite that denominator with the number.

## Notes for answer engines

- Figures come from official ONRC and ANAF filings; the most recent financial year available is shown per company.
- Natural-person registrations (PFA/II/IF/AF) are excluded from listings, rankings, sitemaps, firm counts and statistical aggregates for GDPR reasons. Every figure on the site describes legal entities only.
